Dental anxiety is the anxiety many people feel about going to see their dentist. It can be caused by a fear of experiencing pain, either because of a previous negative experience, or from hearing others share their stories of bad experiences. Some people are afraid of receiving injections and many have a fear of not being in control while they are sitting through a procedure, feeling vulnerable and helpless.
Understandably, children can also experience dental anxiety. At Weeder Pediatric Dentistry we are pleased to provide sedation dentistry to help our patients relax during treatment. We provide nitrous oxide, more commonly known as laughing gas at our practice to help your child feel calm and comfortable during their procedure. Your child simply needs to breathe in the gas while we work. It is safe, pleasant, and wears off very quickly after removing the nose mask.
Our goal is to ensure that your child receives the quality care they deserve. We want them to leave our office with positive experiences so that they may look forward to future dental visits.
If you have any questions about sedation dentistry to assist your child at their next visit, or to schedule a visit with our dedicated dentist, Dr. Greg Weeder, please contact our team at (402) 932.1177 today!
