After graduating from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln in 1997, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 2001. He then opened a family dental practice in Auburn, Nebraska. After ten years in private practice, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a pediatric dentist at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha based out of Children’s Hospital. In 2013, he started Weeder Pediatric Dentistry in La Vista, Nebraska. He is a member of Nebraska Dental Association, American Association of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. He is also board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

“Working with children is one of the most rewarding specialties in the dental profession. I believe that fear of going to the dentist is very real for both children and adults. I want to help children and parents overcome that fear and maintain a healthy mouth for a lifetime. I consider prevention of dental disease, through nutrition and hygiene, my number one priority in pediatric dentistry.”

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Danelle, their two daughters and their giant Bernadoodle, Charlie. He also loves to be outdoors and driving his grandfather’s restored International Scout.

Rebecca Buss, DDS

Dr. Buss achieved her undergraduate degree at Wayne State College before going on to attend the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Dentistry, where she graduated in 2019. She later completed a pediatric dentistry residency at UNMC at the children’s hospital. While her board certification requires a significant number of continuing education hours annually, she makes it a priority to exceed this minimum requirement. She believes there is always more to learn, and staying current with the latest research and advancements in pediatric dentistry is crucial for providing the best care possible for my patients. She loves learning new things to bring to the practice.

Dr. Buss is in fact the president of the Nebraska Society of Pediatric Dentistry as well as a member of the Nebraska Dental Association, Omaha District Dental Society, American Association of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association®. She is also board-certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Buss has been practicing pediatric dentistry in La Vista since 2021. She finds joy in creating a positive and comfortable environment for her young patients, helping them develop good oral health habits from an early age. Dr. Buss personally understands the impact of a positive dental experience during childhood, having benefited from a spectacular dentist herself. Motivated by this experience, she is determined to pay it forward to future generations. Her enthusiasm and gentle demeanor define her approach to pediatric dentistry, and she focuses on instilling confidence, especially in those who may be nervous about dental visits.

Dr. Buss and her husband have a daughter and two dogs. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, traveling, sports and trying new recipes or restaurants.
